📜 PAWS INN FOURWAYS – TERMS AND CONDITIONS
(Please read carefully before making a booking.)
Welcome to Paws Inn Fourways, where we are committed to providing your feline family members with the highest standard of care. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, please review the following Terms & Conditions. By proceeding with a booking, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
Operating Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (drop-off and collection by prior arrangement only).
- Weekends & Public Holidays: By special arrangement only. Please not Paws Inn is closed for check in and check outs on the 25th December and 1st of January.
- Viewing Times: By appointment only.
Sat 11 am – 1 pm. Sun – closed. Monday – Friday: 10 am – 4 pm.
Late or early arrivals must be arranged in advance. Kindly notify us if you are running late for your appointment.
Payment Terms
- Accepted Methods: EFT or cash only.
- Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of making a booking to secure your reservation.
- Outstanding Balance: The remaining balance must be paid in full before check-in. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cats with payments still outstanding.
- Booking Confirmation: A booking is only confirmed once both the deposit and completed booking form have been received.
Cancellations & Refunds
1. Deposit (Non-Refundable)
- Upon receiving your confirmation and invoice, a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit must be paid within 24 hours to secure your booking.
- If the deposit is not paid within 24 hours, the space will automatically be released.
2. Balance Payment
- The outstanding balance is due 7 days before check-in.
- Once the full amount has been paid (7 days before check-in), the entire booking becomes non-refundable.
3. Cancellations / Amendments
- All deposits are non-refundable, regardless of when the cancellation is made.
- From 7 days before check-in, the full booking amount is non-refundable.
- Shortening the number of days after a booking has been confirmed is treated as a cancellation of those days.
- These unused days will not be refunded, as peak-season spaces cannot be re-filled at short notice.
- The full original booking amount will still apply.
4. Early Departures
- No refunds or credits will be given for early departures.
- 7+ days before check-in → Full refund (excluding non-refundable deposit).
- Less than 48 hours → 50% of total booking charged.
- No-shows/same-day cancellations → Full booking amount charged.
- Early departures → No refunds for unused days.
Minimum Stay Policy
- Out of season: minimum stay of 2 days.
- One-day bookings are generally not accepted due to the extensive cleaning and disinfecting process required after each guest’s departure.
- If a one-day stay is requested, a R120 cleaning surcharge applies.
- Peak season (December): minimum stay of 7 nights due to high demand and limited availability.
Vaccination & Sterilisation Policy
For the safety of all guests:
- All cats must be fully vaccinated against FeLV, Feline Panleukopenia, Snuffles, and Rabies at least 14 days before check-in.
- Cats must be neutered/spayed (except kittens).
Required Documentation:
- Original vaccination certificates must be emailed in advance or presented at drop-off.
- Vet letters are not accepted unless pre-approved.
Flea, Tick & Worm Control
- Cats must be up to date with vet-approved flea, tick, and worm treatments.
- Most products provide only 1–3 months of coverage, so please ensure treatments are valid for the duration of your cat’s stay.
- This ensures your cat remains protected while enjoying our spacious garden and play areas, and helps us maintain a safe, pest-free environment for all our guests.
Accepted Guests
We welcome:
- Healthy, well-adjusted adult and senior cats.
- Cats requiring medication or special diets (accommodated in individual bungalows).
- Young kittens, frail, or special-needs cats (cared for in dedicated indoor rooms for their safety).
Shared Bookings
- Cats from the same household may share a bungalow only if they are on the same diet.
- If on different diets, separate bungalows must be booked.
Not Accepted
- Unneutered/unspayed cats (unless kittens).
- Cats with serious health conditions.
- Feral or unsocialised cats.
- Aggressive cats (they will be isolated until collection, and bookings may be cancelled).
Feeding & Treats
- Owners must supply their cat’s regular food to maintain dietary consistency.
- We kindly ask that owners supply sufficient food for the full duration of their cat’s stay, with a small extra allowance in case of delays.
- We are happy to feed dry food, wet food, and raw food. All food should be clearly labelled and suitable for storage, and Paws Inn Fourways will store it safely until mealtimes.
- If the supplied food runs out during the stay, or if a cat is not eating the provided food, Paws Inn Fourways will ensure an alternative food is offered to support the cat’s health and well being. The following charges will apply and be added to the final invoice:
- Dry food only: R20 per cat, per day
- Wet Food Sachets – R15 a sachet
- Wet food or mixed diet: R35 per cat, per day
- Owners are also welcome to order additional food at their own cost and have it delivered to Paws Inn Fourways during the stay, provided this is arranged timeously.
- Food supplied by Paws Inn Fourways will be quality commercial cat food, for example Royal Canin Fit 32. Specific brands or specialised diets cannot be accommodated; clients wishing to provide these will need to organise delivery themselves.
- Daily treats are provided with your consent – please notify us if you prefer your cat not to receive treats.
Our priority is always to keep your cat settled, well-fed, and comfortable during their stay.
Photos
We love capturing special moments of our feline guests during their stay. These photos may be shared on our website or social media to showcase the happy faces that visit us.
By boarding your cat with us, you grant permission for us to take and share such photos, unless you notify us in writing at check-in.
Liability
While every possible safety measure is taken — including double gate entry/exit, CCTV, double-meshed fencing, secure enclosures, and 24/7 property surveillance — Paws Inn Fourways is not liable for escape, illness, injury, or death unless proven due to gross negligence.
Personal Belongings
- We provide all essentials (bedding, toys, bowls, blankets).
- Nervous or sensitive cats may bring small personal items (blanket, toy, or bed).
- Please collect all personal items at check-out. Paws Inn Fourways cannot guarantee items left behind will be kept.
Illness & Veterinary Care
- Should a cat become ill or injured, we will seek veterinary treatment at your expense.
- Medical pet insurance is highly recommended.
- We will always attempt to contact you or your emergency contact first. If unreachable, we will act in the best interest of your cat’s health.
- All pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed prior to arrival. Paws Inn Fourways will not be held responsible for complications due to undisclosed conditions.
Check-In Requirements
- All cats must arrive in secure, lockable carriers.
- Cats brought in open baskets or in arms will not be accepted.
- We are not responsible for cats that escape from carriers to or from the car.
Unclaimed Cats
If a cat is not collected within 7 days of the scheduled collection date, and all reasonable attempts to contact both the owner and the emergency contact have been unsuccessful, Paws Inn Fourways reserves the right to act in the best interest of the cat.
This may include safe re-homing through a trusted animal welfare organisation (e.g., the SPCA). Once a cat has been transferred into the care of such an organisation, Paws Inn Fourways accepts no further responsibility or liability.
Updates
We understand how much you love your cat and may want updates during their stay. Paws Inn Fourways will do our best to share WhatsApp updates.
Please note: our priority is the care of all boarders, including feeding, cleaning, and giving each cat individual attention. During busy periods, updates may not be sent every day.
Rest assured that your fur baby will always be safe, loved, and well cared for. If we capture a special moment, we will definitely share it with you.
Feedback & Concerns
We value your feedback. If you have any concerns about your cat’s care, please speak to us in person at your earliest convenience. This gives us the opportunity to resolve the matter directly and helps us improve our services for all our guests.
